Detours...

... or how much Sheryl Crow's latest CD is "dylanesque."

It isn't the first time, and I'm sure it will not be the last time, that obvious influences of the master find their way into Crow's work. It certainly isn't a criticism as the songs are obviously all hers, and far more blatantly political than Dylan ever has been (though I know those that would argue that point--vehemently).

I pre-ordered, so I also got a bonus track... decent for a remake. And, in Crow's style, true to the intent of the song... if we forget her *detour* long ago of remaking "Sweet Child O' Mine" a song with a sound that is obviously meant for a drugged out, guitar heavy band on the verge of imploding.
